A comment from a family member who visited from Edmonton: "This property has many unique and outstanding qualities, here is just one: When conditions are right (quite frequently), on a calm summer day, while the song birds and the bees are resting, you can experience absolute silence on the porch, floating on the pool, or anywhere on the property really. In almost every other place, even farms and cabins, their is the constant sound of civilization that you cannot escape except by going indoors. These artificial sounds that form that background of so many people's lives are a huge source of undiagnosed stress. You never realize the constant background noise of civilization that endlessly works on your nerves until you experience the magical power of silence in the great outdoors. Even in the remotest parts of Alberta, on the last property at the end of a sliver of a country road, you can still hear the unpleasant and unnatural sound of a natural gas compressor station five miles away. Only on this property and in the remotest parts of the Rocky Mountains have I had the pleasure of absolute quiet in the great outdoors.
Eventually the absolute silence will be broken by a humming bird, a song bird, a bumble bee, or the putt-putt-putt of a friendly neighbor's tractor passing by. Later on, the silence can be broken by the sounds splashing and laughter as a game of water volleyball breaks out in the outdoor pool, or by the crackling sounds of a bon fire, or sizzling of steaks being barbequed on the deck, or the sounds of live guitars and singing around the campfire, the stereo turned up to volumes never experienced in the town or city as most of the neighbors are far enough away as to not be bothered."
